KGHM Cuprum Ltd. was established in 1967 as former Cuprum Research and Design Centre for Copper Mining. It was a part of the Copper Mining and Metallurgical Complex in Lubin. During over 50 years of experience in the mining industry KGHM Cuprum gathered wide knowledge about Polish kupferschiefer deposits, mining systems and production cycle in the mines of KGHM Polska Miedz. It provides a comprehensive research and design service for the Polish copper industry. It conducts scientific and technological research in geology and hydrogeology, mining, rock-mass mechanics, surveying, mine ventilation, automation, electrification and mechanization, ore processing, tailings disposal, environmental protection and new energy technologies. Interns assignments/tasks
- Depending on the target department, the interns tasks will include supporting the work of mining engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, data analysts, environmental scientist and mechanics, both in design tasks and in the field works. Students will participate in the research grants (national and European funds) and commercial projects (mainly for KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.)
