The main fields of activity of the company are associated with geotechnical investigations (site and laboratory), laboratory tests of aggregates, concrete and asphalt concrete, and the quality control of construction projects. Besides the testing services provided, NAMALAB is also active in geological and geotechnical consulting and design. Although NAMALAB started operating in rather unfavorable economic environment, due to the economic crisis in Greece; it is established as one of the most reliable and competent companies in the fields of geological and geotechnical engineering and testing. It has extensive and continuous presence in many major construction projects in Greece. The testing services are accredited acc. to EN ISO/IEC 17025.The staff of NAMALAB consists of civil and mining engineers, geologists, laboratory technicians and supporting personnel, summing up to 25 persons.

About supervisors
  • Mr. Stratakos is one of the founders, partner and Technical Director of NAMALAB Laboratory of Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials and Quality Control SA. He is a Dipl. Civil Engineer, Democritus University of Thrace (2000), and holds a Master of Science in the “Design and Construction of Underground Works” from the National Technical University of Athens (2002). He has extensive experience in geotechnical and structural designs, having participated in several large-scale projects, including the preliminary, final and detailed design phases. He is particularly experienced in programming, organizing, coordinating and managing of site and laboratory geotechnical investigations and quality control works. He was also responsible for the geotechnical design of buildings, structural constructions, railway road works, highway works, landfill works, hydraulic works and ponds, pavements of airfields and roads (inspection, testing, evaluation, rehabilitation and new constructions), restoration and stabilization of landslides, soil dynamics and ground improvement. His experience is extended to structural analysis and design of retaining structures, tunnels and microtunnels, material and constructions quality control and monitoring of slope deformations and soil creep with the installation of inclinometers, deep foundations quality control with pile integrity tests etc. He is a Certified Engineer in Greece for Structural and Geotechnical Studies.
