RIS Intership
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am excited to present my CV for the RIS Intership programm of EIT Raw Materials. My interest to work through this program stems from the great name that it has as a valuable working experience in the field of my studies, I would like to create strong bonds with the company that I will work and after my intership to continue there.
During my university years, I actively participated in a series of seminars focused on the future of mining and recycling. Among these, the most enriching was the EIT RawMaterials Academy, an EU-funded international seminar. Over the course of a month, I had the privilege of attending engaging presentations by professors from around the world. Subsequently, I worked collaboratively in teams to develop and present a project. This experience taught me the value of teamwork and honed my skills in presenting ideas to an audience. In addition to seminars, I took part in the Erasmus program at my university, where I spent time at the Department of Petroleum Engineering of Leoben. There, I delved into the intricacies of rock mechanics and geotechnical issues. The multicultural interaction with individuals holding diverse perspectives transformed my worldview, infusing it with greater vibrancy and depth. Lastly, I wish to highlight my creative endeavors, which include writing a book in English about basic everyday economic activities and creating a YouTube channel where I explore everyday phenomena from an engineering prespective, presented in Greek.
I firmly believe that my background in mining and metallurgical engineering can contribute and make the whole process of exploitation or refine with more safety economically and bring fresh new ideas in the table. This internship presents an invaluable opportunity for me to expand my real-world experience and further refine my engineering skills.
I am eager to discuss this role further and look forward to the possibility of contributing to the remarkable work being done at the companies.
Thank you for considering my application. I eagerly await your response.
Sincerely,
Christoforos Chionis Koufakos
