Motivation letter (max. 1500 characters with spaces) I am a master's student at Ege University Solar Energy Institute, Energy Technology area. In 2023, I graduated from Ege University, Mechanical Engineering Department.
I have gained a lot of research experience in the field of renewable energy sources. In 2022, I participated as a research intern in a project on the recycling and life cycle analysis of photovoltaic modules at the Solar Energy Institute. After the internship, I continued the project as a researcher and during this time I completed my bachelor's thesis on the recycling process of photovoltaic modules.
During my internship, I was provided to be informed about the interfaces used in academic studies, analysis programs, some experimental methods, and how to read or write an article. Thanks to my roles, I improved myself in the analysis methods and devices used to determine material characteristics such as XRD, DSC, thermal cycle, and thermal conductivity analysis.
Now, I am a master's student in the same research group. I am actively involved in two ongoing research projects on recycling and life cycle analysis of photovoltaic panels and thermal energy storage technology. Thanks to the research group I was involved in, my interpersonal and communication skills have stronger.
Also, I’ve been taking online courses such as ANSYS, and SimaPro besides the programs that I learned from the university (SolidWorks, Java, AutoCAD, etc.).
The aim of our work in the projects I take part in is to draw attention to the importance of critical raw materials and recover them in sustainable ways. Since we have similar goals to the research project in which I want to participate, I believe that I will make a positive contribution to the project with the knowledge I have gained so far.
