Motivation letter (max. 1500 characters with spaces) I am writing to express my interest in your organization in Europe. As a recent graduate with a background in well logging and petrophysics, I am eager to contribute my knowledge and skills to the advancement of sustainable energy production.
Through my academic and professional experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of the characterization of subsurface formations through well logs and petrophysical data. I have also gained knowledge of drilling, wellbore stability, and reservoir engineering, which are essential components in successful carbonate Reservoir Geology and Geothermal systems.
I started my second master’s in geophysics for natural risks and resources at the University of Padova in Italy and now I am in the second year of my master’s education. I have gained a solid foundation in various areas such as geology, physics, and mathematics. During my academic career, gaining experience in seismic data processing, seismic interpretation, and reservoir characterization. In addition, I have also worked on projects involving ERT and Electromagnetic surveys, where I have gained hands-on experience in data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
My previous research experience has focused on using well logs to understand and predict reservoir properties, which I believe will be valuable in characterizing abandoned wells for their potential as geothermal energy sources. I am also skilled in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation, which will be useful in evaluating the feasibility and profitability of geothermal energy production. I am highly motivated to contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions and I believe that this position will provide an excellent opportunity for me to do so. I am excited about the possibility of working with your team and contributing to your research efforts.
