- We would prefer to host a young person with strong chemistry background to support our R&D activities. In particular, we need to learn more about the crystal nucleation process in geopolymers. We are performing the trial study of different mixtures with Bosnian aluminosilicates from region of Srbac and Srebrenica, for their applications in geopolymers in 3D-printing of the smaller objects in civil engineering. We facing some problems in density and viscosity regulations as well as with drying/setting process. Young intern would assist our staff in preparing different series of mixtures of aluminosilicates and their characterization. Also the intern will gain important experience in laboratory level of 3D printing with geopolymers. We are hopeful our company's new products will contribute to the overall sustainability of the domestic and regional construction industry, but also to the decrease in carbon footprint.
Required skills and competences
- -MS office -Origin Pro -good knowledge of English -laboratory skills: pH-metry, conductometry, BET surface analysis, XRD data analysis
Interns assignments/tasks
- -daily assistance to the R&D department -field work on sampling the aluminosilicates -XRD data analysis (data obtained from partner institutions) -preparations of mixtures (planing of the experiment algorithms)

About supervisors
- Dragana STEVIC is narrowly specialized in nanomaterials, and is supervising Global Links research on applications of Bosnian aluminosilicates in geopolymers. She spent 6 years in Nagano, Japan, as a researcher and has two joint industrial patents in this country. She is already testing different nanomaterials as the inducers of crystal nucleation in geopolymers and is in need of an assistance due to the workload. Highly motivated young intern with strong inorganic chemical background would be excellent choice. This way, support will be mutual, with knowledge transfer from Ms Stevic to young intern, but also in important help in daily work from the intern.
